i am kelsey kent.

you know that weird guy in slasher horror movies? the one who always warns everyone before they drive to a camp that danger lies ahead; usually in a very intense eye contact performance. i think about him a lot. he has a limited amount of time to convey not only the history of the atrocities that happened years ago, but to set up the tone for the entire film as well. in doing so, he tells a story that could be told a million different ways in the very specific way he does. i’m that grumpy old gas station worker, with my withered stare and thoughtful pacing, and i believe that sensibility carries with me into my editing.
